Maserati's response to the Jaguar F-Type, the Maserati Alfieri

Maserati may be a big name but they're not exactly up there as natural innovators in the industry these days. They've been stuck redesigning the GT and the Quattroporte for a decade. Now they finally try to do something new it feels like an imitation.

It's certainly an exquisite looking car, but something about it just didn't sit right with me at first glance - I didn't know if it was just the proportions or the new front-end or what but it just didn't look as appealing as, say, the Gran Turismo.
That's when I noticed that high-cutting body line on the top-front quarter of the door, under the side mirror, borking up the profile of the window. What the devil is going on there? Spoils the sleek look a little in my view.
Those tiny rails in the wheels though... magnificent.
